She’s had to travel a long road, but Stephanie Mills has finally
completed her comeback CD. What would you do, if people told you
that you couldn’t work in your chosen profession? Well Ms Mills was
faced with that dilemma about 2 years ago. Feeling in her heart that
she still had a whole lot of music to give, she started her own label,
and began recording songs for a new CD.

Stephanie’s “Born For This” was recently released and is the result of
a lot of hard work and dedication. The first single “Can’t Let Him Go”
is a vintage ballad of love, always a strong point for Ms Mills. Other
songs of love that will catch your ear are; “Healing Time”, “Baby
Love” which proclaims love for her child, and “Born For This”, the
inspirational song that reminds us of her Broadway Class vocal
talents.
Although Stephanie has given up the uptempo numbers that use to
pack the dance floor early in her career, she does give us “Never
Knew Love”, “For U”, and the 2004 version of “Something In The
Way”, all with nice mid-tempo beats us grown folks can handle.
I don’t know what those industry execs were thinking, because
Stephanie Mills was definitely “Born For This”!
