I feel it’s my duty to introduce you to “It Can Happen To Anyone”,
because it’s an outstanding project that you could easily overlook
because Elisabeth Withers name is unfamiliar to the general public.
You might have heard the first single “Be With You”, a nice danceable,
radio friendly track. The feel good up-tempo sound continues on the
title track “It Can Happen” and message driven “Somebody”.
Actually, one of the refreshing aspects of this CD is the message in
the music. For instance, “Simple Things” leads off the album with Ms
Withers sounding very Aretha-ish, singing about the joys in life that
turn out to be very basic. On “The World Ain’t Ready”, Elisabeth urges
each of us to fight temptation to conform and be true to our inner
spirit.
The Pop leaning “Listen”, the mid-tempo groove of “Next To You”, and
the future hit “Heartstrings” deliver the urgent messages of love.
Elizabeth neatly wraps up this impressive array of songs with a spine
tingling rendition of the classic “Wind Beneath My Wings”.
